Thanks Peter, sadly the Blaydon Post Office is long gone and my nearest is now up Shibdon Bank in Winlaton. I live just off the bank beside the cemetery so it's a hill climb if I have to post a parcel or visit my local pub.
Ah, a stottie with ham and pease pudding is a glorious thing. Every trip up to Newcastle to see my Mam always has us coming away with a couple of stotties. Not that they last long.
